New York Firefighters Heart & Lung

About Us.

As a leading provider of medical screenings we take pride in offering the best healthcare experience for the firefighter profession. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our firefighters each and every day.

All visits are confidential  & the information is not shared with your Job or Department.

There is minimal out of pocket expense & generally the complete workup will take 1-2 visits with each visit taking approximately 2 hours.

New York Firefighters Heart and Lung Institute is a medical center designed by firefighters for firefighters. We have been working with NY's Bravest for over 14 years. We provide medical care specializing in but not limited to cardiac and pulmonary testing, as well as, providing educational seminars focused on FF safety throughout the USA and Canada.

In September of 2022, we teamed up with Dr. Jeff Stahl MD FACC, Past Chairman of Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital.

Since 2002.

After the events of September 11th 2001, FF's in NY suffered tremendous damage to their physical and mental health. It was in 2002 the institute was born to help treat fellow firefighters. Word quickly spread and the numbers of firefighters using our services grew at a rapid pace. We have directly or indirectly helped thousands of firefighters throughout our history.

Our proudest cases are the 25 firefighters we have proactively diagnosed with coronary artery disease (heart attacks). Finding CAD before it develops into a heart attack can save lives. Over The past 2 + years we have diagnosed 5 cases of kidney cancer, 1 case of liver cancer, 4 cases of Thyroid cancer and over the past 13 years we have diagnosed 10 cases of prostate cancer.

We are also very proud of our educational seminars for firefighter health and safety. Our health and safety team develops presentations to educate firefighters about heart, lung and mental health conditions that are a growing concern in the fire service.
